About HarmonicWaves
HarmonicWaves.com For the Artist:
When you upload to third party websites you often will be forced to give away all copyrights to your composition. HarmonicWaves.com allows artists a forum to freely distribute their original works. Artists’ uploaded works to HarmonicWaves.com may be exposed to millions of listeners while still retaining control of the commercial rights. This means that if your upload becomes very popular you can still capitalize on retail distribution contracts.
A distribution agent will not want to pay an artist for a song that can be freely downloaded on the Internet, or will offer substantially less if they can not acquire the exclusive rights to a song. If your song becomes commercially viable and you need to negotiate fees, the rights you grant to Harmonicwaves.com when you uploaded may be purchased from Harmonicwaves.com and part of the proceeds will be paid to the top 1000 artists registered with Harmonicwaves.com. The theory is that if enough songs are submitted, the odds are that at least one song will become commercially viable, rewarding the artists as a group, while still allowing the artist who produced the work the right to receive compensation based on an exclusive offering. We like to think of it as Artists working in harmony with other artists for a common goal.
HarmonicWaves.com For the Listener:
HarmonicWaves.com provides a forum for original independent musicians to freely share their works with you. You will be able to download and vote on songs that may have that special touch that sends them to number one on HarmonicWaves.com long before you hear the same song on the radio or in a television movie. We encourage you to share the site with your friends and help HarmonicWaves.com become the artists and listeners first choice for quality original music.
